    AP 4 – Base Camp!

    A.P. 4 (Dec. 17, 2023 – Jan. 4, 2024)

    The team finished the 3-day approach hike along the Vacas Valley, reaching Plaza Argentina Base Camp today.

    Tomorrow they’ll take a rest day there.

    AP 3 – Carry to Camp 1

    A.P. 3 (Dec. 17 – 28, 2023)

    The team arrived to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp yesterday.

    Today they carried some loads to Camp 1. After that, they went back down to Base Camp, where they’re taking a rest day tomorrow.

  • AP 4 – Ready for the adventure!

    AP 4 – Ready for the adventure!

    A.P. 4 (Dec. 17, 2023 – Jan. 4, 2024)

    The team had a group meeting yesterday to get to know each other and they left the city early this morning.

    Once at the trailhead at Punta de Vacas, they began the 3-day approach hike along the Vacas Valley towards Plaza Argentina Base Camp.

    Today they got to the first camp, Pampa de Leñas, where they’re spending one night.

    Their guides are Sebastián Ruiz and Matías Nestares. They’ll keep us updated calling us by satellite phone.

  • AP 3 – A new expedition starts!

    AP 3 – A new expedition starts!

    A.P. 3 (Dec. 17 – 28, 2023)

    A new 12-day expedition starts!

    The team left the city this morning and after a 3-hour drive they got to the trailhead at Horcones.

    They hiked up to Confluencia Camp, where they’re spending the night.

    Tomorrow they’ll continue hiking along the Horcones Valley towards Plaza de Mulas Base Camp.

    Their lead guide is Emiliano Poletti, who is assisted by Carlos Scellato and Mauricio Gómez.

    Looking forward to a great expedition!

    We spoke with Rolo, their lead guide, yesterday.

    The team had left Camp 1 and successfully moved to Camp 2.

    After resting one day at Base Camp, the team successfully moved to Camp 1 yesterday.

    They’ll plan their following steps according to the weather conditions.

    The team carried some loads to Camp 1 today.

    After spending some time there, they went back down to Base Camp to spend the night.

    AP 1 – Carry to Camp 2

    A.P. 1 (Dec. 2 – 20, 2023)

    The team successfully carried some loads to Camp 2 and went back down to Camp 1, which is good for their acclimatization.

    They’re moving to Camp 2 tomorrow. They’ll plan their following steps according to the weather conditions.

    Today the team continued hiking along the Horcones Valley.

    They finished the approach hike and successfully got to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp!

    Camp 1

    A.P. 1 (Dec. 2 – 20, 2023)

    The team left Plaza Argentina Base Camp this morning and moved to Camp 1.

    They safely got there and the plan is to carry some loads to Camp 2 tomorrow. After that, they will go back down to Camp 1.
