    The team is at Base Camp!

    A.P. 8 (Jan. 7 – 26, 2023)

    The team is at Plaza Argentina Base Camp.

    They spent their first night at Pampa de Leñas and then they continued to Casa de Piedra.

    Today they got to Base Camp and tomorrow they’ll be taking a rest day there.

    After spending their first night at Confluencia Camp, the team successfully got to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp!

    Today they are taking a rest day there.

  • Another expedition starts today!

    Another expedition starts today!

    A.P. 8 (Jan. 7 – 26, 2023)

    We met the team yesterday, they had their gear checked by the guides and shared dinner together.

    They left the city today and went to the trailhead at Punta de Vacas.

    They started the hike to Pampa de Leñas, where they’ll be spending their first night in the mountains.

    The group is led by the guides Gastón Molina, Cristian Esparza, Emiliano Salomón and Mauricio Gómez. They will keep us updated by sat phone.

  • A new adventure begins!

    A new adventure begins!

    A.P. 7 (Jan. 7 – 18, 2023)

    The team had a group meeting yesterday and shared a great dinner.

    Today they left the city and started hiking along the Horcones Valley. They’ll spend their first night at Confluencia Camp.

    They are led by the guides Pablo Goldengruss, Carlos Scellato and Matías Nestares. They will be calling us by sat phone to keep us updated.

  • Our 6th team gets to the top with all 11 members!

    Our 6th team gets to the top with all 11 members!

    A.P. 6 (Dec. 27, 2022 – Jan. 7, 2023)

    We are very excited to announce that our 6th expedition of this season crowned Aconcagua’s summit today with the entire team to the top!

    We are also proud to announce that Mathias Zurbriggen’s great-great-grandson was a part of this team!

    Mathias Zurbriggen accomplished the first ascent of Aconcagua in 1897!

    Conditions have not been easy this season with several storms and occasional windows.

    Aventuras Patagonicas has managed to get ALL TEAMS to the TOP safely this season.

    We have Team 7 and Team 8 departing January 7th for another great adventure!

    The team got to High Camp today!

    They are getting ready for tomorrow, summit day!

    It will be a long day, so we will post more news as soon as we hear back from them.

    We spoke with Rolo, the lead guide, who said the team successfully moved to Camp 2.

    They are all fine and motivated, planning the following days according to the weather conditions.

    At Camp 1!

    A.P. 6 (Dec. 27, 2022 – Jan. 7, 2023)

    The team took a rest day at Plaza de Mulas Base Camp yesterday.

    Today, after having breakfast, they moved to Camp 1.

    They are excited to keep climbing up, as they gain more altitude.

    Carry to Camp 1

    A.P. 6 (Dec. 27, 2022 – Jan. 7, 2023)

    The team got to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp yesterday.

    Today they successfully carried some loads to Camp 1.

    They are now back at Base Camp, where they’ll take a rest day tomorrow.

    A great team left the city!

    We met this great team yesterday! They had a group meeting and shared a typical barbecue.

    Today they left the city and started the hike along the Horcones Valley. They are already at Confluencia Camp, where they’ll spend their first night.

    They are led by the guides Rolo Abaca, Florencia Torres and José Purto. They will be calling us by sat phone to keep us updated.
