The expedition will only last 12 days, as they came already pre-acclimatized, using an Altitude Training System with a hypoxic tent. They are led by the guide Sebastián Satke, who is assisted by Sebastián Ruiz and Sebastián Giordanengo.

The guides will contact us with a satellite phone, so we can follow their steps as they move uphill.

The group has already started the hike that will take them to Plaza Argentina Base Camp at 14,200′.

The trail goes along the Vacas and Ameghino Valleys and it gains altitude progressively, which is great for the acclimatization process. The team will spend their first night in the mountains at Pampa de Leñas.

The photo above shows them excited at the trailhead.
