  • They are already at Base Camp!

    A.P. 6 Jan. 6 – 25

    The team hiked for approximately 40 kilometers along the Vacas and Ameghino Valleys, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the trail.

    They finished the 3-day approach hike yesterday, reaching Plaza Argentina Base Camp at 13,800′.

    Rolo, the lead guide, told us they are fine and resting there today.

  • Great news! They reached the summit!

    A.P. 4 Dec. 27 – Jan. 15

    We are excited to announce that after all the effort, they successfully reached the summit of the highest mountain of the American continent at 22,834′.

    It was a long day, but they worked hard and got to the top of the highest point out of the Himalayas. A unique experience they will never forget!

    After this, they hiked down to High Camp. They are spending the night there and tomorrow they will continue to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp.

  • Starting the 3-day approach hike

    A.P. 6 Jan. 6 – 25

    The team went to the trailhead at Punta de Vacas this morning, after having breakfast and leaving Penitentes.

    They started hiking along the trail that will lead them to Plaza Argentina Base Camp. Their first stop is at Pampa de Leñas. The group is spending the night there, before continuing tomorrow towards Casa de Piedra.

  • At High Camp, getting ready for summit day!

    A.P. 4 Dec. 27 – Jan. 15

    They are already at High Camp. The group got there today, reaching an altitude of 19,200′. They will spend the night there and get ready for tomorrow.

    They are doing a great job, working hard and hoping the weather will let them reach the summit.

    We are looking forward to hearing from them!

  • Ready to start a new adventure!

    A.P. 6 Jan. 6 – 25

    We met this great team at the city, who shared a meal last night.

    They got their permits to enter the Aconcagua park this morning and after this, everyone was ready to start the trip!

    The group left the city and went to Penitentes, where they are spending the night. The 3-day approach hike begins tomorrow at Punta de Vacas and will take them to Plaza Argentina Base Camp.

    They are led by two experienced guides, Rolo Abaca and Adrián Jiménez. During the expedition they will contact us with a satellite phone.

  • Moving to Camp 2 today

    A.P. 4 Dec. 27 – Jan. 15

    The group carried some loads to Camp 2 yesterday. After this, they hiked down to Camp 1 and spent the night there.

    They are all working hard and getting used to the altitude.

    Today they are ready to move to Camp 2.

  • Summit!

    A.P. 5 Dec. 27 – Jan. 7

    They reached the summit! After a long and challenging day, they successfully got to the top of the highest mountain of America at 22,834′. An experience they will always remember!

    This 12-day expedition went uphill, working hard and moving fast.

    Now they are already back at Plaza de Mulas Base Camp, ready to start their way down to Mendoza.

    Congratulations to them for such a great achievement!

  • High Camp!

    A.P. 5 Dec. 27 – Jan. 7

    We spoke with Julián, the lead guide, who told us the team reached Nido de Cóndores Camp yesterday. He also added that they were moving to High Camp today at 19,200′.

    They are all fine, working hard as they move uphill.

    Looking forward to hearing more news from them! We will keep you posted.

  • Ready to move to Camp 1 tomorrow!

    A.P. 4 Dec. 27 – Jan. 15

    The group carried some loads to Camp 1 yesterday and hiked back to Base Camp.

    We spoke with Matías, the lead guide, who said everyone is fine.

    They rested at Base Camp today and tomorrow they will be moving to Camp 1.

  • Celebrating a great trip!

    A.P. 3 Dec. 17 – Jan. 5

    The team went back to the city, after their unforgettable adventure!

    They enjoyed a typical barbecue with another expedition last night. They also tasted some great local wines.

    It was a great moment to share stories and enjoy the night together, after all the moments spent up in the mountains.

    We are attaching pictures of them at dinner yesterday.
