  • Camp I

    Camp I

    AP 5 – Dec 27 – Jan 15

    The group arrived to Camp I (16,000 ft) and and they will do a carry of gear, tents and food to Camp II (18,000 ft) tomorrow.

    The guide said that everyone did well and are doing great.  Everybody is well and getting used to the altitude.We attach a photo of the group going to camp I.

  • Camp II 

    Camp II 

    AP 6 – Dec 27 – Jan 7

    The team is now at Camp II, called Nido de Condores (17651 ft.). They are doing a very good work trying to gain altitude while keeping the energy.

    The whole group is really motivated, plus the good weather accompany the coming days.

    The next step is to move to High Camp at almost 6000 m!

  • Carry to Camp I 

    Carry to Camp I 

    AP 5 – Dec 27 – Jan 15

    The team has successfully carry the load to camp I today. These were their first steps in height.

    They decided to rest tomorrow and move to that camp the day after tomorrow. This technique helps with the acclimatization process.

    All of them are fine and excited to continue this adventure.

  • Base Camp

    Base Camp

    AP 5 – Dec 27 – Jan 15

    After three days of trekking the team arrived to Plaza Argentina (14200 ft) yesterday, where they are going to rest and start preparing everything for the height.

    Tomorrow they will carry the loads to Camp I (15,750 ft.)

    From here they will do a carry of gear and food to the next camp, come back to sleep at a lower altitude, then they move to the higher camp, where they spend a rest day to do the proper acclimatization process.

    All of them are fine and excited to continue this adventure.

  • Move to Camp I

    Move to Camp I

    AP 6 – Dec 27 – Jan 7

    The team arrive today at camp 1 (16,000ft). It was the team first steps in height.

    Everybody is fine and doing a great job!

    They will spend the day resting and preparing for move tomorrow to camp 2.

    The weather for the next days is favorable so they hope to continue going up without problems.

  • The Top of this side of the world 

    The Top of this side of the world 

    AP 4 Dec 17 – Jan 5

    Today the team reached the summit of the highest mountain in the World outside the Himalayas (with an altitude of 22,834 ft). A great achievement that they surely never forget!

    Now they will complete the Aconcagua traverse, by descending to base camp Plaza de Mulas today and they will be back at Mendoza tomorrow. Where they will celebrate this great achievement!

    We are very happy for them.

  • SUMMIT! 

    SUMMIT! 

    AP 3 Dec 17 – Jan 5

    The team finally reached the summit today! They stood at 22,834 ft looking to the rest of the Andes below. Congratulations to them!

    The group is going back to High Camp and will go to Plaza de Mulas base camp tomorrow, completing the Aconcagua Traverse, from there they will hike to the trailhead.

  • Plaza de Mulas

    Plaza de Mulas

    AP 6 – Dec 27 – Jan 7

    The team arrived at Plaza de Mulas (14107 ft) base camp today. They spent one night at the camp Confluence. It was a walk that help them with the process of acclimatization.

    They will rest a day at Base Camp and then decide what to do. Everybody is fine and did it great!

  • Tomorrow is the big day

    Tomorrow is the big day

    The team reach High Camp 19,200 ft today. They are at almost 6000 m! If the weather allows them tomorrow they will try to reach the summit.They will get up early and after breakfast they will begin the to the top of the highest peak outside of Himalayas.

    Today the team reach the High Camp, at almost 6.000 m!

    They are looking forward to reach the summit tomorrow! The team is feeling good, the long days spent working in the mountain have prepared the climbers for the effort.We attach a picture taken at High camp in a previous trip.
