    They reached the summit today at 22,834′!

    It was a challenging day, but they worked hard. They stood on top of the highest mountain of America and the highest point out of the Himalayas. This has been a unique experience, they will surely never forget.

    The group will rest at High Camp tonight. Tomorrow they will go down to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp along the Normal Route, completing the Aconcagua Traverse.

    All of our trips reached the top of Aconcagua! 100% expedition success rate for this season!

    Congratulations to them for the big effort!

    Ready for tomorrow! They are almost there!

    The group reached High Camp at 19,200′. Wesley, the lead guide, told us they successfully moved there today.

    They are resting and getting everything ready, because tomorrow they will tackle the summit. The team will start early in the morning and it will be a long day.

    If they achieve this, it will be a season with a 100% expedition success rate with all of our trips on top of America!

  • Successful carry to High Camp

    Successful carry to High Camp

    A.P. 9 Feb. 10 – Mar. 1

    The group already carried some loads to High Camp and returned to Camp 2 to spend the night. Today they are resting there.

    The plan is to move to High Camp tomorrow. They are doing a great job, as they get closer to the summit.

    Camp 2!

    A.P. 9 Feb. 10 – Mar. 1

    The group left Camp 1 and moved to Camp 2, reaching an altitude of 17,500′.

    They are working hard as they move uphill and gain more altitude.

    The guides will evaluate the weather conditions in order to plan the next steps.

    Carry to Camp 2

    The team successfully carried some loads to Camp 2 today. After that, they hiked back to Camp 1 to spend the night.

    We spoke with Wesley, the lead guide, who said they are all fine and are planning to rest there tomorrow.

    After having breakfast, the team left Base Camp and they safely moved to Camp 1 at 16,300′.

    They are all fine, working hard as they gain altitude.

    The team successfully carried some loads to Camp 1 yesterday and went back to Plaza Argentina Base Camp. Today they are resting there.

    The group will move to Camp 1 tomorrow, so they are getting everything ready for that.

    They will be planning their next steps according to the weather conditions.

    We are excited to hear more news from them soon!

  • Base Camp!

    Base Camp!

    A.P. 9 Feb. 10 – Mar. 1

    During the 3-day approach hike, the team went along the Vacas and Ameghino Valleys. This trail is approximately 40 kilometers long, giving them a great opportunity to get a good acclimatization.

    After spending the night at Casa de Piedra, the group walked towards Plaza Argentina Base Camp. Wesley, the lead guide, called saying they got there today and that they are all fine. They are now at 13,800′.

  • Our 9th expedition is ready to start a great adventure!

    Our 9th expedition is ready to start a great adventure!

    A.P. 9 Feb. 10 – Mar. 1

    We met this great team at Mendoza! They had a meeting with the guides and went through all the details of the itinerary. After that, they shared a meal, tasting some typical steaks and local wines.

    This group of seven climbers is led by the experienced guide Wesley Bunch and assisted by Adrián Jiménez and Angela Cardenas.

    They all left the city and went to Penitentes to spend the night there. They will soon start the 3-day approach hike that will take them to Plaza Argentina Base Camp at 13,800′.

    We are attaching a picture of the group before leaving the hotel and another one having dinner together.

    The guides are taking a satellite phone with them to keep us updated.

    Celebrating a great adventure!

    We welcomed the team back to Mendoza. It was a unique experience for everyone!

    The group had dinner together, sharing a lot of stories of the trip and enjoying a delicious meal paired with local wines.

    We are attaching pictures of the summit day and the team at dinner.
