    Celebrating a great adventure!

    A.P. 7 Jan. 20 – Feb. 8

    We welcomed the team back to Mendoza. It was a unique experience for everyone!

    The group had dinner together, sharing a lot of stories of the trip and enjoying a delicious meal paired with local wines.

    We are attaching pictures of the summit day and the team at dinner.

    At the top of America!

    The expedition reached the summit! After working hard during this long challenging day, they stood at 22,834′.

    This is a big success! 8 expeditions and 8 summits!

    They got to the top of the highest mountain of America and the highest point out of the Himalayas. This is an experience they will surely never forget.

    The group is spending the night at High Camp and tomorrow they will complete the Aconcagua Traverse going down to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp.

    Congratulations to them for the big achievement!

    Matías, the lead guide, told us they successfully moved to High Camp at 19,200′. They are all fine and doing a great job.

    The group is ready to tackle the summit tomorrow! They have a big challenge ahead because it will be a long day, so they are preparing everything to start early in the morning.

    The group left Camp 1 and moved to Camp 2 today, where they will spend the night.

    They have reached an altitude of 17,500′. Tomorrow the team will stay there and rest.

    They will plan their next steps according to the weather conditions.

    Camp 1!

    The group made it safely to Camp 1 at 16,300′. We spoke with Matías, the lead guide, who told us they successfully moved there today.

    The team is resting there and getting ready for their next step, which will be to carry some loads to Camp 2.

  • Ready to move to Camp 1

    Ready to move to Camp 1

    A.P. 7 Jan. 20 – Feb. 8

    They are spending their last night at Plaza Argentina Base Camp.

    The group have already carried some loads to Camp 1 and tomorrow they will be moving there, reaching an altitude of 16,300′.

    This plan is great to get a good acclimatization while they move uphill.

    We are excited to hear more news from them. We will post more details about their expedition soon!

    At Base Camp!

    The team spent last night at Casa de Piedra. Today they crossed the Vacas river and continued to Plaza Argentina Base Camp.

    The group is now at 13,800′. Matías, the lead guide, called us and said they arrived there today.

    He also told us that the plan for tomorrow is to stay the whole day at Base Camp and rest there.

    The team is on its way to Base Camp

    They are already hiking towards Plaza Argentina Base Camp. This 3-day approach hike along the Vacas and Ameghino Valleys features amazing colorful landscapes.

    The group is gradually gaining altitude, which is great to get a good acclimatization.

    They spent their first night at Pampa de Leñas. After having breakfast there, they continued to Casa de Piedra, their second stop.

    The picture was taken at the trailhead at Punta de Vacas yesterday and it shows them all excited to start the adventure.

    A great team is starting a new adventure!

    A.P. 7 Jan. 20 – Feb. 8

    The group left the city of Mendoza this morning and went to Penitentes. They are spending the night there and tomorrow they will start the 3-day hike that takes them to Plaza Argentina Base Camp at 13,800′, led by Matías Sindoni and Angela Cardenas. The scenic trail along the Vacas and Ameghino Valleys is approximately 40 kilometers long.

    Yesterday the group had a meeting where Matías explained the itinerary and other details of the expedition, as seen in the picture below. After this, they shared a meal together, which was a great opportunity to start to know each other.

    The guides are taking a satellite phone with them to call us and keep us updated.
