    Last trip of the season gets a team of 10 to the top!

    A.P. 11 (Feb. 16 – Mar. 7, 2019)

    They made it to the summit!

    After a long and challenging day, they reached the top of the highest mountain in America. They stood at 22,834′! This is also the highest peak out of the Himalayas.

    They worked hard and made a great effort, having an unforgettable experience!

    The team is spending the night at High Camp and tomorrow they will continue to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. The following day they will finish the Aconcagua Traverse hiking down the Horcones Valley and they will return to the city.

    Congratulations for this big achievement!

    The group moved to High Camp today. Tomorrow they will go to the summit, so they are getting ready for the big day!

    The team is fine and now at 19,200′. We will post more news as soon as we hear from them.

    Carry to High Camp

    A.P. 11 (Feb. 16 – Mar. 7, 2019)

    The team already carried some loads to High Camp today and everyone is fine.

    After that, they went back down to Camp 2 to spend the night.

    Tomorrow they will plan their next steps according to the weather, they might move to High Camp.

    They kept moving uphill and already reached Camp 2 today.

    Wesley, the lead guide, called to say the whole group is fine and they safely got to 17,500′.

    A.P. 11 (Feb. 16 – Mar. 7, 2019)

    They woke up at Base Camp this morning and after having breakfast they moved to Camp 1.

    The team has reached an altitude of 16,300′. They might take a rest day tomorrow or carry some loads to Camp 2.

  • Rest day after carrying to Camp 1

    Rest day after carrying to Camp 1

    A.P. 11 (Feb. 16 – Mar. 7, 2019)

    The team successfully carried some loads to Camp 1 yesterday.

    After that, they returned to Base Camp. They are fine and taking a rest day there.

    They will plan their next steps according to the weather conditions.

    The team completed the 3-day approach hike and safely reached Plaza Argentina Base Camp today.

    Their first stop was at Pampa de Leñas, where they had a great barbecue for dinner. The following day they got to Casa de Piedra and spent their second night there.

    We are sharing a picture of the group at the hotel in Penitentes the day before starting the hike.

    They are now at 13,800′. Everyone is fine and getting used to the altitude.

  • New expedition to the top of America!

    New expedition to the top of America!

    A.P. 11 (Feb. 16 – Mar. 7, 2019)

    We met this great team of 9 motivated climbers! They had a group meeting yesterday and shared a great meal together.

    Today they left the city and are now in Penitentes. The group will spend the night there and tomorrow they will start the approach hike to Base Camp.

    They are led by Wesley Bunch, an incredibly experienced guide, who is assisted by Adrián Jiménez and José Purto.

    They will keep us updated, so we will be posting more news about them soon.

    A.P. 9 (Feb. 2 – 21, 2019)

    They got to the summit today! After waking up early in the morning, they had a long tough day and reached the top of the highest peak in America at 22,834′. An incredible experience they will never forget!

    We spoke with Rolo, the lead guide, who said they were fine at High Camp ready to spend the night there. Tomorrow they will continue to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp and they will come back to Mendoza the following day.

    The team successfully got to Camp 2 at 17,500′. After resting one day there, the group is moving to High Camp today.

    They are fine and doing a great job as they move uphill.
