    They carried to High Camp

    The group carried some loads to High Camp today.

    Now they are back at Camp 2. The team is doing a great job and they will rest there tomorrow before keep moving uphill.

    At Camp 2

    We spoke with Sebastián, the lead guide, who said the group safely moved to Camp 2 today. They were about to have dinner and go to sleep.

    The team has reached an altitude of 17,500′ and they are planning to carry to High Camp tomorrow.

  • Moving to Camp 2 tomorrow!

    Moving to Camp 2 tomorrow!

    The team already carried some loads to Camp 2 yesterday and returned to Camp 1. Today they had a rest day there. They are getting a good acclimatization as they go higher.

    Surrounded by a stunning landscape, the group is enjoying beautiful bright days, as the weather has been great so far.

    Tomorrow they will move to Camp 2.

  • Successful move to Camp 1

    Successful move to Camp 1

    The team had breakfast at Base Camp and took a group picture before leaving this morning.

    Then they moved to Camp 1. They are now at 16,300′. The group is fine and motivated.

    Carry to Camp 1

    A.P. 7 (Jan. 12 – 31, 2019)

    The team successfully carried some loads to Camp 1 today. They reached 16,300′ and went back to Base Camp.

    Sebastián, the lead guide, called to tell us they are all fine. He said they already had dinner and were ready to go to sleep. Tomorrow the group will rest there.

  • On the top of America!

    On the top of America!

    A.P. 6 (Jan. 5 – 24, 2019)

    What a success! The whole team got to the summit of Aconcagua today!

    After a challenging day, they reached the top of the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere at 22,834′. This is a great achievement and a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

    They are spending the night at High Camp, before going down to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp tomorrow. They will go back to Mendoza the following day.

    This team of 9 climbers and 3 guides reached the top of America!

    It was a long day but they worked hard and got there today. They stood on the summit of the highest mountain out of the Himalayas at 22,834′. A unique experience they will always remember!

    The group is now going down to High Camp to spend the night. Tomorrow they will descend to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp and they will return to Mendoza the next day.

    The team left Camp 2 and moved to High Camp. They reached an altitude of 19,200′.

    It was cold and windy but they worked hard and got safely there today.

    Pablo, the lead guide, told us they will go to the summit tomorrow, leaving early in the morning.

    Looking forward to a great summit day!

    The team safely moved to High Camp at 19,200′.

    We spoke with Sebastián, the lead guide, who said everyone is fine. They were about to have dinner and go to sleep to be ready for the big day, because tomorrow they will tackle the summit!

    The team is at Base Camp!

    A.P. 7 (Jan. 12 – 31, 2019)

    They completed the 3-day approach hike, arriving at Plaza Argentina Base Camp yesterday. Today they are resting there at 13,800′.

    The group is fine and getting used to the altitude. They will carry to Camp 1 tomorrow and go back to Base Camp to spend the night.
