The group stayed at Camp 2 today. They spent the day resting there at 17,500′. This will help them acclimatize.
They are getting everything ready to move to High Camp tomorrow.

The team left Camp 1 today and moved to Camp 2 at 17,500′.
They might rest there tomorrow or carry to High Camp. They will be planning the upcoming days according to the weather conditions.

The team successfully moved to Camp 2. They are now at 17,500′.
Sebastián, the lead guide, called to say they got safely there today. Everyone is doing a great job and getting used to the altitude.

A.P. 7 (Jan. 12 – 31, 2019)
The group spent their first night in the mountains at Pampa de Leñas, where they had a great barbecue for dinner made by the local arrieros.
Today they went to Casa de Piedra, their last stop before Base Camp. They will continue the approach hike tomorrow.
Look at the team at the trailhead excited to start the expedition!

The group moved to Camp 1 yesterday.
We spoke with Pablo, the lead guide, who told us it’s been windy up there but they are all fine.
They are planning to move to Camp 2 tomorrow.

The team moved to Camp 1 yesterday.
They carried to Camp 2 today and returned to Camp 1 to spend the night.
They are all fine and getting ready to move to Camp 2 tomorrow.

A.P. 7 (Jan. 12 – 31, 2019)
The team left the city today! They are now in Penitentes spending the night at a hotel there.
Tomorrow they will start the approach hike to Base Camp, which will take them three days to complete it.
Their lead guide is Sebastián Satke, who is assisted by José Purto.
The group had a meeting last night to go through all the details about the expedition. After that, they shared a great dinner, tasting some typical steak.
