They got to the top today!
It was a challenging day, but they reached the summit of the highest peak in the Americas!
The team is already back at High Camp, where they’re spending the night. Tomorrow they’re going down to Base Camp.

The team is taking an extra rest day at High Camp, due to the weather conditions.
This is also good for their acclimatization to high altitude. They’ll tackle the summit tomorrow.

The team moved to Camp 1 yesterday and they continued climbing up this morning.
Rolo, their guide, called today saying they are all fine at Camp 2.

The team carried some loads to Camp 1 yesterday. After that, they returned to Base Camp.
Today they’re taking a rest day there.

The team left Confluencia Camp this morning and continued hiking along the Horcones Valley.
They have already reached Plaza de Mulas Base Camp!

The team had a group meeting yesterday and shared a tasty dinner.
They left the city this morning and after a 3-hour drive they got to the trailhead.
Today they’ll hike to Confluencia Camp, where they’ll spend their first night in the mountains.
Tomorrow they’ll continue hiking towards Plaza de Mulas Base Camp.
The group is led by Rolo Abaca, Luchi Marún and Sebastián Ruiz. They are taking a sat phone to keep us updated.
